Meet the Doctors

Dr. Tom Bieber

Dr. Tom Bieber is a proud second-generation dentist, following in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Rae Bieber, who founded Lake Dental Associates in 1956. Raised in Clear Lake, Dr. Tom was an accomplished athlete, becoming only the second wrestler in the history of Clear Lake High School to win a state championship. His passion for wrestling took him to Utah State University, where he competed at the collegiate level.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Tom pursued his dental degree at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where he distinguished himself both academically and as a leader. He served as house manager for the Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity, ensuring it remained a supportive home for dental students. During his time at Iowa, he was honored with the prestigious “Excellence in Operative Dentistry” award, given to only one student each year. It was also during dental school that Dr. Tom met his wife, Lisa. After graduation, the couple returned to Clear Lake, where Dr. Tom joined his father’s practice, continuing the family legacy of exceptional dental care.

Dr. Tom and Lisa have two children, Joe and Matt. Joe is currently involved in outreach ministries in California, and Matt is also a member of the family practice, making Lake Dental Associates a proud three-generation practice.

When he's not providing dental care, Dr. Tom is passionate about the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and spending time at his farm near Pilot Knob. He is also deeply committed to humanitarian work, playing a key role in the development, construction, and ongoing operation of a dental clinic at The Consolation Center Orphanage in Les Cayes, Haiti.

Dr. Tom remains dedicated to serving the Clear Lake community and beyond, bringing both skill and heart to his patients and his global outreach efforts.

 Dr. Liz Bieber

Dr. Liz Bieber is a dedicated general dentist and proud graduate of The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics, class of 2019. Originally hailing from Wisconsin, she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Throughout her dental education, Dr. Liz was an active leader, serving as treasurer of the Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity and as class representative for the American Student Dental Association. She also gained valuable hands-on experience during her summer and holiday breaks, working in the emergency and surgical dental clinics on campus. It was at Iowa where she met her husband, Dr. Matt Bieber, with whom she now shares the privilege of caring for patients at Lake Dental Associates.

Community service has always been a priority for Dr. Liz. She has participated in both Wisconsin’s and Iowa’s Mission of Mercy events, offering free dental care to those in need. These experiences have deepened her commitment to providing compassionate, gentle, and efficient care to every patient she sees.

Dr. Liz’s passion for dentistry began early, sparked by her own positive experiences as a dental patient. Today, she strives to create that same sense of comfort and trust for her own patients, ensuring their dental visits are not just productive but enjoyable. Committed to lifelong learning, she has pursued continuing education in orthodontics and therapeutic neurotoxin treatments to offer her patients the latest advancements in care.

Outside the office, Dr. Liz enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband Matt, their daughter, Bailey, and their two mini-goldendoodles, Nelly and Lola. You’ll often find them exploring the beautiful community of Clear Lake, Iowa, where Dr. Liz feels grateful to be part of the Lake Dental Associates team and the welcoming community they serve.
